Steinberg releases HALion 3.5 Latest update with native 64-bit Windows Vista support and a new Content soundbank for Steinberg’s award-winning virtual sampler Hamburg, May 22 2009 – Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH is pleased to announce the release of a 3.5 update to its award-winning HALion 3 virtual sampler VST instrument. The update adds native support for 64-bit editions of Windows Vista, as well as a new Factory Content soundbank consisting of 128 new electronic instruments and drum kits. HALion 3.5 is the latest Steinberg product to be made available in a 64-bit version, coming after the release of Cubase 5 and HALion Symphonic Orchestra 1.5 for 64-bit Vista. The update is now available for download for all HALion 3 customers at www.steinberg.net . “Because it adds compatibility to 64-bit Vista, HALion 3.5 can address vast amounts of memory, allowing many more additional instruments to be loaded simultaneously,” comments Helge Vogt, Steinberg’s Product Marketing Manager for Cubase and HALion. “This frees up even more creative potential because it puts even more instruments and articulations at the artist’s fingertips.
