SEASONS GREETINGS and HAPPY TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
Welcome friends to our 2011 Newsletter and Seasons Greetings to all. We are just celebrating our Ten Year Anniversary of offering sound libraries and software instruments. It's been an incredible journey over the past ten years and now marks a new chapter for us.
Garritan is about to become a part of MakeMusic! MakeMusic is a top-notch company that is number one in notation technology, with a talented team, a history of success, a passion for excellence, and a bright future. This is a very positive development and I'll still be here but as part of MakeMusic. We look to expand our success with MakeMusic and prepare to launch exciting new software instruments.
After ten years of invaluable service, Tom Hopkins retired from Garritan this past summer. Tom has been with us from the very beginning and was responsible for making our samples sing. We'll miss Tom's valuable contributions, his good nature and wit. A big thank you from all of us to Tom and we wish him well in his retirement.
Many thanks are due to countless musicians, contributors, well-wishers, students, educators and other good people who have supported us over the years. Exciting things are coming!

ARIA Updates Coming Soon!
Developed in collaboration with Plogue Art et Technologie, ARIA is Garritan’s advanced sample player. The ARIA Player is constantly improving in performance and features. For NAMM we will be showing new features including a new design, branding tabs for different libraries, GVIplugin for playing Giga files, OSX 64bit standalone support, convolution with impulses from renown acoustic spaces, and other features. We are discussing licensing ARIA third party developers and welcome discussions with developers.
