Remember Fairlight, don't you ? If you are not very young you should have listened about the "... computer-based digital sampling instrument that was considered state-of-the-art in the 1980s ...". Who is saying that ? Greg Holmes is. In his Fairlight CMI pages you will find tons of information about that outstanding digital monster, written by either Holmes or other loyal Fairlight users. From sonic examples, technical diagrams, details and data, to swap shop (where trades-off and things like that can be arranged), Fairlight messageboard, various tales, many-many photos and images as well as a lot of other stuff to keep your interest in the whole subject at a high level for weeks.
