The Musici Arts Paris Association is pleased to announce the 12th International Competition Jean Françaix ( piano ) . The Competition will be held from the 17nd to the 19th of April 2009 in Vanves (Paris, France). For more information on the competition (rules, programs, prizes...), please check our website http://site.voila.fr/jeanfrancaixconcours . You can ask for an application form by emailing us at: concours.jf@wanadoo.fr (make sure that you mention the address where you want the application sent). A special concert ( 12th anniversary ) will be given the Saturday 18 April in the Vanves's competition place . COMPETITION RULES 1-The twelfth international competition Jean Françaix is open to pianists of any nationality.The age limit is 38. 2-The contestant must agree to abide by the rules of the competition. The contestant receives a notification 5 days before the preliminary round by letter or email .The contestant has to be present at the day and hour set by the notification.In case of non-reception of the notification,the contestant is requested to warn the the competition office.Only the contestant present at the day and hour set by the notification are allowed to perform. The application will be accepted when the fee has been paid. 3-In case of absence,the contestant is requested to warn the competition office. 4-The registration fee is non-refundable and can not be postposer. 5-If the number of registrations is too high,the day of the competition round can be altered from the one set. 6-The jury reserves the right to stop the contestant during his/hers performance and also not to award all the prizes.In case of litigation, the casting vote is the one of the president.The décisions of the jury are final and can not be appealed. 7-In case of recording or broadcasting,a preliminary autorisation will be requested from all the artistes (partakers and accompagnists). In case of recording or broadcasting,a complemantary fee will be paid at these artistes (partakers and accompagnists). A Spedidam attendance sheet will be completed in due form. 8-Travel and housing are at the contestant own expense. 9-Score photocopying is forbidden (loi du 11/03/1957 code pénal art.425) 10-The piano competition results will be proclaimed after the piano competition. 11 Competitors can call publishing houses if they have any score problems. Kutnowski ’s pieces are available on www.contrapunctus.com . 12-Music must be played without score. 13-The recording will be made with first prize of piano competition, for the label Anima-records.
PRIZES : The prizewinner receives 4000 euros Prize : 2000 euros Special prize recording : 2000 euros The second prize receives 1000 euros The third prize receives 500 euros Some concerts will be offered to prize winners choosen by judges.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES : All the application forms must arrive at the competition office not later than March 31th 2009. It must be made out on free paper and featuring last name,first name,adress,téléphone,email,date of birth,nationality,chosen works. Join a Curriculum Vitae and 2 adressed enveloppes with the name and adress of the contestant.Join a money order of the registration fee amount payable to MUSICI ARTIS PARIS (SG agency of Vanves Plateau). No checks will be accepted.
