3rd Choral Meeting of Giannitsa 20 - Cultural The Choral Festival of Giannitsa is organized by Alexandrio Conservatory of the Municipal Enterprise of Multicultural Development Corporation of Giannitsa for the 3rd continuous year and will take place in the Cultural Center of Giannitsa, in 20 – 23 October 2005, under the aegis of The anniversary of the Battle of Giannitsa in 1912 and the liberation of the city is the reason for this meeting, that contributes greatly to the promotion of the cultural, intellectual and social life of the city. This year’s organization is dedicated to the well known Greek composer Mimis Plessas. For the first time this year a choir works’ composition competition will take place. The objective of the Festival is the development of the cultural ideal, the cultivation of high relations and bonds between persons, institutions and cities, as well as their collaboration via music which is the most direct form of art. The aim is the spread, promotion and elevation of choral music.
