News of the piano duet "Duo Vivo" (Winter 2010-2011)

The Poster of the Events of Duo Vivo in Holland

The announcement is repeated below in simple text format :

Dear friends, teachers and colleagues,

We would like to inform you about our upcoming events in Holland this February.

Since we first visited the Oscar Romero College in Hoorn in 2009 we have been giving performances with our educational programs every year at the College's Mandelazaal for students of all classes. In 2009 we performed "The Selfish Giant" by Oscar Wilde set to music by Stefan Heucke and in 2010 "The Carnival of the Animals" by Camille Saint-Saens.

This year on February 1st, 2nd & 3rd we will be performing a work by Greek composer Nickos Harizanos based on the famous fairytale "The Travelling Musicians" by Brothers Grimm (poster attached). The work is for piano-4 hands and narrator. Narrators will be Corina de Groot (Dutch) and Jip Bieraugel (English); two exceptional teachers and friends with whom we have collaborated in our two past projects. Students of the College have shown interest in participating as actors.

Following this project, on Friday February 4th, we will be giving a piano duo recital in the same hall with works for piano-4 hands by Schubert, Schumann, Dvorak and Faure.
