L_Idea di Cleves has planned its own activities for 2008 :

• 2o International Short Film Festival of l_Aquila
• 2o International Photo Contest _A photo in Red_
• Cine Review _Human Rights Violations_
• Archive _Gio_ Kappa_ and National Journalistic Award _Gio_ Kappa_, entitled to the journalist Giuseppe Massari

    

 

2o International Film Festival of L_Aquila

deadline 15th August 2008

 

After three national editions, this one is the second International appointment with the Short Movies in L_Aquila : between 27th and 30th October 2008 L_Aquila will meet the best short movies from every country in the world.

Many filmmakers from the five continents took part to the first edition; Chris Bessounian (USA), with _The kolaborator_ and Birgitte Staermose (DEN), with _Sophie_ won the main prize.

In 2008 edition, Gianluca Arcopinto, producer and film director, will lead the festival as Artistic Director.

It_s possibile to compete in:

• Excellence Contest (for movies that have won other international competitions)
• Professional Contest
• Docu-Reportage (for documentaries and voyages)
• Animated Contest
• Amateur Contest (for non-professional filmmakers)

2o International Photo Contest and Photo Reviews (A photo in "Red")

deadline 6th October 2008 

 

The second edition of the Photo Competition has been organized by L_Idea di Cleves and the FotoClub 99, an official FIAF  circle (Italian Federation Photographic Associations).

The theme is the color _Red_: a red detail which captures the view. [the Red s the most striking color].

The winner of the last edition was Alessandro Calabrese with his geometric _Giorni a perdere_

The jurymen will be Piero Cocco, Danilo Balducci, Marcello Pezzuti, Laura Rosica e Alessandro Fiorenzani.

The best photos will be exhibited in Palazzetto dei Nobili, an historical building in L_Aquila .

_Human rights violations_ - CineReview

 

This year we have organized, in collaboration with the circle _Querencia_, the first edition of a essai movie review on human rights.

We have planned two appointments: in June, in the Great Hall of the University of L_Aquila , Gianluca Arcopinto and Simona Torrretta will present  _Angeli distratti_, a film on the situation in Falluja ( Iraq ). On October 2008, in the Cinema Massimo of l_Aquila, Claudio Tamburini will introduce _Cronaca di una Fuga_, a movie by Israel Adrian Caetano (Cannes Film Festival 2006), inspired by Tamburrini_s book _Pase Libre . La fuga de la Mansion Sere _, about the drama of the _desaparecidos_ in Argentina during the dictatorship.

Journalist Prize and Journalist Archivi, intitled to Gio_ Kappa _ Giuseppe Massari

 

L_Idea di Cleves is attending [to] a project, patronized by the Province administration of L_Aquila . Our aim is to create a movie archive containing  the tv reports of Gio_ Kappa (Giuseppe Massari), a wellknown Aquilan journalist who passed away in 2002 at the age of 45.

This year will be the second edition of the prize intitled to Gio_ Kappa.
