announces their
2010 Young Soloist Competition  Last spring, QSO reinstated their prestigious Young Soloist Competition after a 10-year hiatus. The finalists were heard by a panel of experts in a recital setting for a full audience. The winners won the opportunity to perform with QSO in addition to cash prizes.
QSO is happy to announce that the 2010 Young Soloist Competition is scheduled and the applications and guidelines are now available to download from the QSO website. Please click the link below to print out an application today. Deadline to submit an application is December 4, 2009 (postmarked).

Andrew Lowy, our 2009 first place winner of the senior division, is scheduled to perform the exciting Concerto for Clarinet by Aaron Copland at QSO's season opener this fall!
In addition to Andrew Lowy's performance, QSO will also be presenting Symphony No. 1 in C Major by C.P.E. Bach, Divertimento in D Major by Mozart, and the World Premiere of Variations on a Theme by Sondheim by Michael Starobin.
