Musica Reginae's Society Artists join the Queens Symphony Orchestra as guest soloists in this performance of Musica Reginae's commission of Da Camera by 1996 Pulitzer Prize-winning composer George Walker.

Coming Soon.....

Bach to Dreams of Flying will showcase two world premieres - Da Camera by Pulitzer Prize winner George Theophilus Walker, featuring soloists from Musica Reginae, and Dreams of Flying by the acclaimed composer Victoria Bond. Ms. Bond wrote Dreams of Flying to explore the ecstatic sensation of flying and floating freely through the air. Described by The Music Connoisseur, "This lively music exploits Brazilian dance rhythms and bird calls in a way that liberates the soul while reminding us of our limitations." The concert will also highlight two classic works - Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 by J.S. Bach and the Capricorn Concerto by Samuel Barber, with QSO soloists Kathy Fink (flute), Marsha Heller (oboe) and Lorraine Cohen (trumpet).

A Pre-Concert Lecture at 6:30 pm offers an informative talk about the evening's event. Maestro Kitsopoulos and our special guest artists will preview and explain the selected pieces and also answer questions about the program.
