Kodaly Conservatory : Live Online Transmission of the Final Concert of the 25th International Kodaly Seminar at Kecskemet of Hungary (Summer 2009)

Join us and experience the spirit of the 25th International Kodály Seminar in Kecskemét ONLINE!

Between 20 July and 7 August the Kodály Institute organizes the 25th International Kodály Seminar, along with the Kodály Festival.
We are glad that this time, people being some thousand kilometres away can also be part of the closing events of the Seminar, by watching it online. The closing concert of the Seminar and the Festival has always been an outstanding event because this is the opportunity for the participants to show us what they have learnt during the three weeks in Kecskemét. The choirs of the Seminar are going to perform some pieces by Zoltán Kodály.

The broadcast starts at 7 p.m. local time (GMT +2) with a greeting by Dr. László Norbert Nemes , director of the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy . It will be followed by a short summary of the events of the Seminar and some interviews with participants of the Seminar. Right before the start of the concert there will be a short film about Zoltán Kodály's lifework and the Kodály Institute.

The broadcast of the concert starts at 8 p.m. local time (GMT +2).

We hope that music lovers will be happy to take this opportunity to experience the spirit of the Seminar and listen to the concert in a virtual concert hall.
