Experiences
Well, this time the music player was out of order and the voyage was rather quiet and contemplative. However, it was not going to be at all boring : snow, snow, snow everywhere ! As I was getting higher and higher, everything was getting more and more white. If I could listen to a piece of music at those moments, perhaps I would choose "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky (**). This would be my own choice for travelling for almost a couple of hours through high lands, small slick hills, tiny colourful villages and valleys fully covered by white flakes. A magic human hand had worked all day and night to clear the road from the snow but the overall scenery was still untouched by all those human interventions : a series of beautiful, unforgetable full-white images which were covering an area equal to what the human eye could perceive. I wonder if music could ever have the power to describe all those landscapes with the full power of senses that were generating themselves... I guess not...
