Anniversaries
Since there have been 250 years (and one day!) from the day Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born, let us write some words about him so as to refresh our memory :
When you listen to his music
Only you wish it will never stop
Little notes jumping out and in.
Figaro, Don Giovanni and others,
Going to live for ever through his writings,
And while you know he wrote them very young
Nobody will have any problem with it
Grumbling - that is - for the quality of his music...
And while his genius was crossing the land,
Mayors and dukes waiting all to see him,
And kings called him to play for them.
Despite all the attraction that was bringing about,
Eventually he was alone and died in a nightmare
Unexpected his death was, even if he could smell it :
Sussmayr finished his last unfinished work.
Many-many of his notes in the air,
Out in the rain, the snow and the wind -
Zealously all following composers thought of him.
And his most attractive phrases,
Remain in his pages of music,
