Experiences
Eventually, it looks as if all nice things are starting from ... a mistake ! In fact, by trying to find who was the creator of some symphonic works which I owned for years written to a tape, without having any information but only that they were rather composed by W.A. Mozart, I resulted in purchasing one of those series that are containing all of the symphonies Mozart wrote, and even more, the very one had all the performances executed practically by the same orchestra and with the same contemporary instruments which at that time, by even keeping exactly the same instrumentation and orchestration of that epoch ! So, the final sound was perhaps pretty near to the genuine "Mozartian", at least in the general sonic output. The result : eventually, from the 3 symphonies that I had written to that poor, almost used till virtually melt, old tape, I only found the one to exist (the fantastic no. 33 in B flat major with 4 magnificent - unfortunately at one time ending :-) - parts, the other two are rathering witnessing the Mannheim school and "smelling" a bit of Haydn, but I am not quite sure yet (anyway, the lovely and most musical pedal notes used at the woodwinds is a characteristic way to orchestrate used by the specific genre). I believe that some time or other I will find out what is happening with those two "lost" symphonies (what a researcher am I if I cannot ? :-) ) ... ... ... Well, however, what has really happened in my story ? Is it truly a wrong quest for the 3 symphonies - which I initially thought were written by W.A. Mozart - and nothing beyond that ? ... ... ... (to be continued at next article) ... ... ... ***
