So it is, the melodic sequences of the Renaissance's genre ** were following the ears of the listeners that have chosen the Third Program of the Greek Radio in that Sunday morning. The formidable calm of that music, its "universal" and "spiritual" character, the fact that is based on absolutely natural musical principles, *** - that is, in essence, it is near to if not even inside the nature itself! - the simple and even-tempered intervals, the delicate and enjoyable melodic movements, the careful leaps of the melody according to the "natural aesthetic rules", the careful and tight concepts for using harmony and counterpoint as well as the whole easy-to-understand form of the music score, all these facts are stilling the spirit and putting it into a pleasant contemplation.
