MR PLUS SAYS
The actual combination of instruments to be used in a music work. Should normally be decided long before actual composition. Affects in a serious way the final musical output since each instrument of the symphonic orchestra has its own unique character and can either be used in solo passages or in various ensemble forms.
MR MINUS ARGUES
Just a possible way to blackmail classical musicians in order to obey your rules. If one is not a "good" guy, then it is possible to discover himself playing in a music work which is supposed to be an orchestral work, but it just happens to be a most difficult concert for the specific instrument our man is performing (percussion ensemble included - poor listener ! :-) ).
MR RIGHT ELABORATES
This is called a cruel blackmail ! No, no, I don't think it is possible ! A composer or an arranger (namely the musician who is "porting" the music work for performance on an instrumental combination other than the original one) is usually a person of high quality and should not be considered as a criminal ! Anyway, a lot of soloists would like to have their own concert being written by a good composer, so, what is the problem ?
