IN GENERAL Iannis Xenakis (1922-2001) : The basic idea behind the music of Iannis Xenakis is the transformation of various mathematical relations, which are in essence expressing the whole universe, into music sounds, and Xenakis uses a certain group of methods for this purpose. Xenakis usually enjoys the aid of computer devices which help him in various computational ways with the construction of the composition, even if finally Xenakis himself has the overall choice of the material.
