NATIONALITY Franz Liszt (1811-1886) : Franz Liszt was Hungarian. IN GENERAL Franz Liszt (1811-1886) : Liszt is considered one of the greatest piano virtuosos, while he was also a quite appreciable composer. Liszt was a prodigy child, but he also had mystic tendencies that later in his life led him to become a priest. Liszt constantly travelled around Europe, where his unique talent always enjoyed apotheosis. Liszt helped a lot of people, and a lot of musicians as well, and especially his son-in-law, Wagner. Perhaps Liszt's compositions have not enjoyed the attention that they deserve because of the virtuosity character that are often including. STYLE Franz Liszt (1811-1886) : Liszt's style is particularly romantic, naturally with classical references - because of the effect of the great classical composers that had lightly preceded - but the element of virtuosity is stressed enough. Several transcriptions of orchestral works for the piano existed, while Liszt tried to convert the piano itself into a small orchestra! Arrangements of all kinds and 7 volumes with various contents (reviews, reflections).
